Equine-Assisted Therapy
Equine-assisted therapy is a unique and powerful way to experience healing through connection, self-discovery, and hands-on learning. In these sessions, you work alongside a licensed therapist, and horses as part of the therapeutic team. Guided by the Eagala model, sessions take place on the ground—there is no riding involved. Through structured activities and interactions with the horses, clients gain insight into themselves, their relationships, and the ways they respond to life's challenges.
Our work also incorporates the principles of Natural Lifemanship, a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach that emphasizes safety, trust, connection, and healthy relationships. Many individuals who have experienced trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, or difficult life experiences find that working with horses offers a different pathway to healing. Horses are highly attuned to emotions and body language, providing honest, immediate feedback that can help clients build self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others.
No horse experience is necessary to participate. Equine-assisted therapy can be used alongside traditional counseling or as a powerful complement to it. Whether you're seeking support for personal growth, healing, or life transitions, the partnership between therapist, horse, and client creates meaningful opportunities for insight, resilience, and lasting change.
