About Me

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. After graduating, I spent six years working with a local Child Advocacy Center, first as a family advocate and then as a therapist supporting children and families who have experienced trauma.

This work deepened my passion for trauma therapy and helping people understand how their experiences shape their emotions, relationships, and responses to the world around them. My goal is to help others know that healing is possible. There is a path forward—even if it looks different from someone else’s—and your journey is uniquely your own.

About My Therapy Approach

My approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed. I draw from different methods, including EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, and equine-assisted therapy, to meet people where they are in their healing journey. While traditional talk therapy can be very helpful, I believe healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. Sometimes using different approaches can help people process and move forward in ways that feel more natural to them. My goal is to think outside the box and support each person in finding their own path toward healing.

Life outside of the office

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time outside or with my pets. Sunshine and fresh air are some of my favorite ways to recharge after a long day. I also love exploring new places, and my bucket list is always growing with destinations I’d like to visit and foods I’m excited to try. I enjoy those little moments of adventure—they’re a reminder of how important it is to stay connected to the things that make us happy.
